Sane or senseless? Harmless or harmful? Sometimes it takes awhile to get to know a stranger. Initial impressions are not always reality, so you must delve deeper. Beyond the initial floral hop aromas, malt sweetness is revealed, yet with a spicy undertone that exposes a very rye sense of humor. Take your time to get to know the Stranger. It’s strangely satisfying.

Tap @ Henrik, Bergen. This one pours a light cloudy golden body with a small creamy and sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is fruit-yeasty, some grapefruit, citrus, ripe strawberries, some nice sweet caramel and hints of some light watery hops. It's lively to aggressive carbonated, has a oily to watery mouthfeel and it's medium to light-bodied. Tastes fizzing and a bit sharp. There's some fruity yeast in here, malts and some sharp hops. Ends nice bitter with a mild dry aftertaste. Not to exciting, but easy and light drinkable.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 8/19/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly dull, some light citrus, a bit spice, yeast, and a touch of butter
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is mildly sweet, with decent malts, and some vegetal and bitter flavors
Palate: This one is medium bodied, its fairly sticky on the mouth, with a somewhat dry, acidic finish
Overall Impression: A beer called the Stranger from Left Hand brewery? Yes, there are quite a few good jokes in there, but I'll use my better judgement and stay away... Anyway, this beer was fairly unimpressive. It isn't a bad Pale Ale, but it just isn't really all that good either. Fairly average.

On tap @ Left Hand. Light golden orange appearance with an ivory head. Dull earthy hoppy, boring nose. A touch bitter flavor from some mild hops but pretty boring light beer.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 8 June 2011) Golden/bronze colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of apricots, orange peel and toast. Malty, fruity taste with apricots, honey, citrus peel and toast. Medium body, with balanced sweetness and a mild, spicy bitterness. Well balanced and tasty, but not one of the most daring Left Hand beers.

Pour is a dull yellow with a large white head. Aroma is decently hopped with some dull malt. Flavor is floral hop to start but finishes really watery and tasteless. Not a reall good effort on this one. Way to watery.
