On tap at Modus Operandi, pours a hazy copper blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very crisp, with more of floral hops and crackery malt. Flavour is a bit stale, with metallic notes and crisp crackery malt. Drinkable enough but not terribly exciting. Meh.

Golden, hazy, thin head. Fruity hop nose. Sweet, peachy, apricotty hop. Light body, very refreshing beer.

More a session IPA than a golden ale. There are lots of tangy hops, with orange rind and pine needles on the nose and a more bitter, less floral taste. The beer is well balanced with a solid malt structure. Despite being only 4.5% it could be a little dangerous as I would have guessed that its alcohol content is mid strength. Maybe it’s just too long since I had a 4.5 beer?A really nice session IPA for a hot day. 750ml bottle from Tru Bru.

On tap at Local Taphouse, St.Kilda: I didn’t get any of the expected mango or fruitiness coming through in terms of aroma or taste. Similarly, the hopping was very subtle indeed. As such, this was rendered a pretty dull pale ale. It might be ’sessionable’, but it would be a very excited session.
