Can from my advent calendar. Black pour, small beige head. Aroma is very roasty, bitter cocoa, lots of pine resins. Silky mouth feel, nice carb. Roasty finish, light soy, cocoa, lots of pine medium bitter

From Beer Drop. Canned August 16th.
Pours black with an inch of tannish foam.
Smells of dark and milk chocolate, roasty, bit of lactose.
Roasted malt, dark and milk chocolate taste, equal amount of sweetness and bitterness to my palate. Hints of smoke. This is really good.
Nice mouthfeel, excellent Porter.

355ml can. Pours a hazy orange-brown with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, ash and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, milk chocolate, caramel, hazelnut, vanilla, light ash and bitter coffee in a sweet finish. Medium body with a sticky, syrupy texture and soft carbonation. Pretty basic, but tasty.

12oz can. On the lighter side of full bodied. Pleasant cocoa tone. Maintains a nice Porter feel. Smooth chocolate malts. Simplistic, but good enough.

On tap at McKays, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out subtle cocoa and earthy malt. Flavour is very subdued, with cocoa upfront, with a toasted malt finish. Light palate, with a cocoa-y finish. Okay.

22 oz bottle poured. Dark near reddish brown pour. Rocky tan foam head. Chocolate forward aroma as expected. Chocolate cream body, flavor is a milk chocolate front. Toasty malt throughout, but they did a good job making this a constant true chocolate porter, front to back. Not really sweet either. Solid.

Draught. Dark brown pour with off white head. Malty aroma, chocolate and toast. Malt body, toast and a little bit of chocolate. Light finish.
