Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a crystal clear gold colored body that supports a nice near white head of foam. The aroma offers up fruity esters, sweet bread, a dash of malt cotton candy. No hops in the aroma, eh? The taste delivers sugary malts, sweet light skinned fruity esters, a dash of corn and then mild spicy hop to maybe vague floral hops. Good beer. Comes up short on the Kölsch side though.

5oz pour at the brewery. Pours clear dirty blonde with a white head. Mineralic and wheaty on the nose. Flavour has soggy wheats, dry grass, boiled vegetables; definitely mineralic. Fairly mediocre kolsch.

16oz shared with Alex on Alouette campground in Golden Ears. Appearance: hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: flowery, some sweetness, a bit malty. Taste: along the same lines, nice body, cracker, a bit bitter. Overall: good one.

Poured from the tap. Clear yellow gold with minimal white head. Grain, touch of bread malt, very light hopping. Good balance.

Okay lighter gold body with just a bit of head. Smell is of very soft wheat. Flavour is mellow grains with a smoky character. Dry finish. Not bad at all, a good drinker though hardly unique.

Deep gold, kind of kolschy looking. Thick white head. Slightly herbal aroma of German hops and sweet pale malt. Earthy, again a nice hit of bready pale malts, maybe a bit husky, with herbal hops...spalt maybe... Pretty good and accurate, a rare achievement in New World klsch. Contains citra but doesn’t smell like it. Not sure how that works but it’s pretty cool.

cloudy blond color. Delicate aroma, mild bread and lacto. Smooth, but served too cold; the bready malt flavor is too light, and the bitterness, just a tad too much, covers it.
Probably it would be more Kölsch and more interesting if less bitter

Deep blond color with small compact head, short lived. At first there is some fresh aroma of tropical fruits, later followed by mild animal character, light grass and honeycomb. The mouthfeel is dry and lean, not weak; the malt flavor is special, bread, biscuit, dry toffee and honey; strong bitterness; some grass in the end (positive), but also some pungent thing in the back of the throat (3.5).
This would be a very free interpretation of a Kölsch, a good and interesting beer in any case.
