Staircase Wit

Draught at the brewpub, on June 18, 2015Cloudy dark yellow color, white heaed. Banana, phenolic taste. Phenolic aftertaste. Medium light fizzy mouthfeel, medium low btterness. Mainly phenolic scent.

Draft - Wheat, light mushroom and herbs. Cloudy yellow fold with a decent white head. Wheat, light citrus and a long finish. Can’t put my finger on what’s missing, but something is making it pretty bland.

Murky blond color with medium sized, not persistent head. The aroma is a bit yeasty, with an impression of manure. Highly carbonated, with lean body; rather dry mouthfeel; the flavor is mild, some wheat, white bread; the bitterness is very low; there is a touch of banana in the final, and maybe some plastic. No spices.
Simple and not complying to the self definition of Belgian Wit.
I appreciate the banana and the bread, but it lacks of character.

Very cloudy, thin head, pink, fruity, floral, fairly full body, a little yeast character, light hibiscus, wheaty towards the finish and then a sweeter maltiness kicks in. Refreshing acidity. Not bad, summery beer.

On tap at Brassneck, pours a cloud yellow with a large white head. Nose of all wheat - really fresh smelling - not much else. Flavour is the same, full of super fresh meadowy wheat, with a slight touch of chamomile. Really flavourful for the style and refreshing. Solid stuff.
