Sample at the taproom. Pours a dark reddish-amber color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel and yeast. Full-bodied with a strong dark fruit character and flavors of caramel malt and earthy yeast. The finish is fruity with a plum and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap @ brewery. Clear dark reddish orange appearance with a thin tan head. Tangy old / brown lettuce, caramel, candy sugar, raisin aroma. Flavor has a ton of dark fruit notes like raisins and figs. Big time cola flavor. Fairly sweet. High boost. Scroll past.

Tap at the brewery - dark with minimal lace - simple aroma of candi sugar, raisin, alcohol - low carbonation - flavor is raisin, toffee, a touch of treacle, not much else - finish has a lot of alcohol heat and flavor - minimal belgian character - mostly just sweet and boozy.
