375ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived, bubbly white head. The aroma is grainy malt, fake sugar and citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate to light bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, malt, funky barnyard, light juicy citrus fruit, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. A lager with some flavour. Whatever next!

Bottle at the Royal Dick. Appearance - golden with a thin head. Nose - light citrus and pale malt. Taste - more of the same. Lemon barley water. Palate - light bodied with a long dry lean body. Overall - decent lager.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Distant hop nose, a little bread perhaps. Clear golden beer with solid white head. A few bubbles. Cleansing bitter taste. Finish is good. Early maltiness is overtaken by increasing hop bitterness then a floral hop note right at the end. I could drink another one of these right now.

From a 330ml bottle on 13/6/2013. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a medium bright white head. Not too much in the way of aroma - just a bit of grain and a hint of fruit. The flavour surprised me - it’s actually rather pleasant. There’s quite a bit of bready malt, a touch of citrus, and a moderate dash of hops, which makes it quite refreshing. Has a light body and lively carbonation. I’ve come to expect to be disappointed by McLaren Vale beers, but it’s pleasing to see them come up with an above average pale lager. Like the label as well.
