Bottle from Euro Local Swap #1 2016, thanks Maakun! Pours dark brown with tan head. Lightly smoked aroma with a little bit of ham, chocolate and caramel. Taste has more prominent smoke with peat, smoked ham, leather and roasted malt ending with a red berry, slightly tart finish . Quite light with average carbonation.

Bottle. Dark pour. Aroma of smoked malt, roast and smoked ham, nice. Taste has smokey ham, yeasty sweetness, cacao and some fruity hop. Nice beer.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ home. Purchased @ the now defunct ABC Beers. No BBF. Dark furniture brown, fading mocha bubbles. Nose is thick umami meaty smoke, almost faint peat quality to it, simple but solid, light tad watery. Taste is light varnish, herbal, touch watery umami, herbal smoke, touch too heavy varnish, umami, almost faint peat, burned herbs, glue,… Low carb. Touch watery. Could have done with more & less varnish, herbal, etc. Profile,… Not too solid but it manages.

Bottle at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Poured an opaque dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is toasty malt, creamy caramel. The flavour is liqourice bitter with a slightly watery dry coffee, chocolate malt palate and a light, pretty nondeScript finish. This beer is all up front and nothing in reserve.

Week van het Nederlandse Bier 2015. Flinke rook, volle stout smaak, koffie hint, fijn hoor. Leunt ook nog op hop bittertje. Backlog from 2015/05/28.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ pre TEODRBSG15 ] @ fonefan & Brugmansia House, Denmark. [ As Kwartje FireWire ].Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, wood, smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, smoke, roasted, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150828]

Bottle from somewhere in the Netherlands. Consumed at home Monday 16th November 2015 (my birthday) Pours black with a tan head, a slight tart, fruity, smokey nose. It’s ok but not so exciting, tastes also a little woodsmokey also. Ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Reddish black colour, beige head. Aroma of coffee, red fruits, loads of CO2. Loght bitter coffee flavour, light sweet, hint of ash. Light bitter light sweet finish, coffee, hint of smoke.

Bottle @ joes. Brown colour, small white head. Smells smokey, slightly fingerpaint, old people, ashy. Tastes slightly smokey, roasty, coffee, chocolate. Medium body, soft carbo.
