A lustrous golden ale to remind you of sunny days and summer suppin’; welcome to the Carnival! Heady aromas of sweet pine and tangerine invite you in while a light caramel body gets things started. The revelry rises with earthy pine and sweet summer citrus flavours carousing the palate, and culminates in a laid-back bitterness and refreshingly dry finish. Draught, Liverpool Psych Fest 2013. Clear gold looks with a small white head. Some citrus and piney hop present in the nose. Slightly thin flavour wise but the hop presence salvaged affairs. Dryish bitter finish. Balance a little off somehow. Ok but having set such a high standard this isn’t their greatest offering.
