So this is a superb stout, pours a thick-looking near black with a frothy beige head. Has a subdued aroma of roasted malt with hints of coffee and liquorice, and a deep, rich roasted malt flavour, some milk sweetness to begin with and a dry hop bitterness into the the finish

330ml can. Pours black, nice sized beige head with plenty of retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee beans, dark chocolate. Taste follows nose, there is a moderate carbonation and slightly smooth mouthfeel. Finish has a long hoppy bitterness which combined with the roasted notes leaves a certain smokiness on the palate almost like I had just smoked 10 cigarettes. This is not unpleasant but I do feel the need to brush my teeth. Despite this Its a rich well made sipper of a stout and very nice.

Can at THT February. Dank hops, soft roast, light cinnamon, roasted chillies, soft cocoa, light lime, ash. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied.

Zwart bier met mooie lichtbruine schuimkraag. Smaak is licht zoet en bitter met iets van chocolade en koffie. Heel licht romig in de mond.
