Stallhagen’s new Pilsner is the first pils on the Aland Islands since"Mariehamns Bryggeri" made their own Pilsner-öl in the early 1960s. Our Pilsner is a medium-hoppded beer of German style, well-hopped, distinct bitteness and clear hoparoma. The head is dense and rich and has a pearl-like color . Our brewmaster Mats Ekholm’s use of only Noble hops gives a floral aroma and flavor and an easy to drink traditional Pils; a clean,quick, very refreshing, light session, beer that could be paired with just about any meal

Clear golden color, small white head. At first a bit skunky, grassy aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Grassy, a bit skunky, with light honeyish maltyness. Slightly cardboardish. Quite German and only Christmas is in the label.

Flaske 0,33l fra Alko Muonio. Drukket hjemme 5 Des 12. Lys gyldenbrun med et høyt kremaktig skum som varer en stund og fester seg litt til glasset. Beskjeden gress/maltaroma. Lite kullsyre. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er høy. Litt syrlighet. Brukbar fylde. Litt tørr frukt i ettersmaken.

330ml bottle, thanks to Finn. Deep dark golden coloured body. Filmy layer at the top. Pale malts and fruity hops to the nose. Mild dusty hops in flavour mixed with buttery malts. Unctuous on the palate. Medium bodied and soft carbonated. Ok pilsener (Tromsø, 15.12.2012)

33 cl bottle thanks to Ingo! At ekstedt’s x-mas beer tasting, on December 14, 2012.BB 1.8.2013.Clear yellow color, white head. Paper, cardboard, malty scent. A bit hoppy, sweet, sugary taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterenss. Vegetable aftertaste.

Bottle 0.33l from local Alko, Helsinki. Colour is golden with small white head. Aromas and flavour are hops, some grass and strange savors. Pretty useless beer.

Aroma has grainy malt, some butter and hints of grassy hops. Flavour has butter, some grainy malt, grassy hops, distant herbal and metallic notes. Basic pils.

Bottled (from Alko Prisma, Vaasa). Golden colour, small slightly off-white foamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is cooked vegetables, some grains, mild melted rubber as well as some herbal notes. Flavour is cooked vegetables, peas, some grains and mild rubbery and herbal notes. Congratulation, this is so far the worst winter beer of 2012.
