Bottle. Clear golden body with a fizzy white head, lasting. Aroma of oak, toasted grain, lemon rind, cobweb, coriander, alcohol. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter and lightly acidic. It finishes moderately to heavily sweet, lightly bitter and lightly to moderately acidic. Taste of wood, lacquer and fusel alcohol. Cloyingly sweet and only alcohol to balance it which it doesn’t. An odd combination of flavors: sugar water, hot alcohol and wood. There’s nothing unified about it. Drain pour.

Bomber shared by the folks at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma of subdued citrus zest. Flavor is like a zesty imperial alt. Very smooth and tasty. Oak flows lightly through it.

Hazy very pale, a bit yeasty nose, touch of alcohol. A mess of alcohol, limey-fruity esters and yeastiness. Not getting into this.

Tap at the brewery - hazy gold beer - compact head of loose, large bubbles - nose has quite a bit of tropical character complimented fairly well by the light vanilla and coconut of the oak - flavor is fairly sweet up front and through the middle, with light notes of spice, vanilla, pineapple and mango - finish dries out slightly, introducing a moderate bitterness and some light peppery spiciness that lingers into the finish - interesting brew, although not very wit-like.
