On tap at The Swinging Door in San Mateo. Pours clear light gold with a small off-white head, light lacing. Toffee, mild malts, grainy and herbal. Surprised that I haven't rated this. Good

Tap, Café de Engel Oldenzaal. What has gone wrong with this beer? Almost everything. Very cloudy appearance. Sharp grapefruit aroma and flavor. Sharp and thin. The hop character, which obviously was there, is blown away by the citrus fruit. This beer shouldn’t be like this, but the flavor is, strangely enough, OK.

50cl can. Malty caramel, smooth with a moderate bitterness. Caramel, round and malty smooth bitter. Dry caramel in the end, hints of fruits, very nice.

Off white rocky head left a cover on a still, amber coloured body. Malt, demerara, tea, spice & berry aroma. Medium bodied, tingly to the fore with softer clean back. Malt, berries, spices, tangy, bitter, caramel & biscuit tastes.

0.5 bottle. Nice transparent amber colored beer with a durable white foam crown. Its aroma is slightly yeasty, modest, with a slight dried fruit. It has a round taste, no caramel, neither bitter nor sweet, a real drinkable, not very strong and not full-bodied bitter. I didn't feel anything outstanding, but nothing bad. Pretty good value, but not overwhelming.2020 02 15. A fairly bitter, well-hoped base bitter.

0,5 bottle.

Flesje gedronken tijdens vakantie zuid Frankrijk. Licht amberkleurig bier met weinig. Aroma is fruitig, moutig en zoet. De smaak is licht zoet, beetje fruitig en in de verte ietwat hoppig. Weinig nasmaak.

500 ml bottle. Clear light copper brown colour, almost no head. Floral notes, nuts, minimal metallic notes, caramel, tangerine, sour dough and malt. Medium dry bitterness. Light bodied, watery texture, soft to low carbonated, light dry finish. Quite nice and very British! Fast and easy drinking.
