First brewed in 1959 London Pride is a smooth and astonishingly complex beer, which has a distinctive malty base complemented by a rich balance of well developed hop flavours from the Target, Challenger and Northdown varieties in the brew.

Bottle. Clear amber/gold/orange with a small white head. Aroma of floral and fruity hops, malts, a little bit of honey and some citrus fruits. Taste is malty and fruity with a little bit of caramel. Bitter and dry hoppy finish. Medium carbonation. Decent Bitter and suitable for drinking in large amounts. It's just not my favourite in this style.

Bottle from Tesco Headless ale, as expected, with clear amber color. Light caramel aroma. Medium bitter, far from strong with caramel notes. Malty backbone. Cheers.

Bottle at Simon and Fiona's, can't believe, I haven't rated this one. 30th December 17. Pours copper colour. Aroma is caramel, malt. Taste is malt and bitter, some caramel, slight floral. It's fine for what it is.

From the tap at Huxleys, Heathrow airport,UK. Pours light amber with minimum white foam, very fine. Aroma is sweet like caramel and fruity, remembering some chewing gum too. Body is average with limited carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet, with a pleasant underlying bitterness. Finish is pretty short.

Schönes Kupferrot im Glas, die Erwartung nach Karamell-Malz wird im Geruch bestätigt. Im Trunk ebenso, sattes Malz, sehr crispy, hinten bitter, ein echter Klassiker.

Bottle from Sytembolaget. A decent bitter, it feels better in the bottle than it did on cask last time ot be honest. I get the hops a lot more, some caramel. Grassy hops. Not bad at all. (1/10/17) Re-rated, same condition, large bottle. Reallly nice bottle this time. 3.3 to 3.6. (31/10/18) ---- Rerated, bottle from Systembolaget. Lovely sweet malt aroma. Caramel / rust water look. Hops are more prominent than I would think in a beer like pride. A pleasure. Kept at 3.6. (5/8/20) ----- Rerated, bottle from Systembolaget. Kept at 3.6. Homely beer. Somewhat irony nose. Hop forward ending for a bitter. Yummy spicy carbonation end. (23/8/22) ---- Bottle from Aswarby Rectory, Aswarby. A class act that goes down nice n easy. Kept at 3.6.

F: medium size, light tan, not long lasting. C: deep gold to amber, clear. A: malty, grassy, caramel, a bit of toffee, toasty. T: malty, caramel, toast, fruity sweetness, medium body, medium carbonation, decent bitterness, good, 4,7%, 0,5l bottle from Waitrose supermarket @ Albion Way in Horsham.
