Smaakbeschrijving

Bottle at home. Aroma of grainy malt, wheat, fruity notes, citrus, apricot, floral, hint of hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitter finish. Body is medium. Pleasant and refreshing, enjoyable ’historical’ beer.

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white foamy white head. Aroma is peach, some mild wine gums, red berries and mild sweet malty elements. Flavour is quite similar to what the elements in the aroma gave. Rather boring.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Floral, fruity aroma, notes of petals, jelly bears, slightly artificial hints of peach (Trolli Pfirsichringe), strawberry and other red berries. Taste is sweet-ish malty, floral and minimally fruity, notes of petals, a minimally artificial touch of peach (Trolli Pfirsichringe again); smooth, soft and silky palate, gentle carbonation.

Inferior grains often produce a wishy-washy watery beer. This one has decent body. Very floral and also has some candy notes too.

(Draught at Jopenkerk, Haarlem, 27 July 2017) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruit, malty nose with notes of citrus, pineapple and floral hops. Fruity, malty taste with tropical fruit, citrus, bread and a slightly bitter-sweet finish with fresh floral hops. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Refreshing and well balanced. Quite nice.

Slightly aged sample Thick, dense, whipped eggwhite-like head, fed by lightly carbonated pale copper beer. Honeyish, caramel, parsle, lightly coloured malts. Honey, oxydation, sweetish malts. Other grains not really obvious. Light body, light slickness, low to medium carbonation Spelt. ’Nuff said.
