Can thanks to a trade! Pours a clear gold with a touch of orange and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of wet grass with some earthy grains but not overly hoppy. Flavor has a good amount of grass with a bit of resin and an earthy grain backing. Seemed to lack a bit of punch for a "triple IPA".

Growler shared by john. The pour is a lightly hazed copper golden orange with a smallish white head that is pretty lasting for a pour from a growler. The aroma is big round citrus, grass and light honey floral. Big, expressive hop nose. The taste opens with lightly sweet malt and then turns quickly to the big expressive hop notes of the nose - orange citrus, hay grass, and floral dry notes. The alcohol is present in the warming finish, though doesn’t detract from the taste. The palate is medium bodied, soft active carbonation, and the dry warming finish. Nice one, thanks for bring the growler to KC and sharing, John.

Draught as part of a flight, at the Renegade tap room, on October 6, 2012Cloudy brown color, tan to light brown head. Sweet, hoppy, dry wall scent. Fruity, malty, sweet taste. Sugary aftertaste. Medium smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Tap @ brewery. A touch hazy, orange appearance with a white head. Aroma is completely full of resiny, piney hops and a rich pale maltiness with a light ganja smell. Somewhat resiny, highly piney, moderately citrusy, very thick hoppy flavor with some slightly toasted malts. It’s a hop bomb but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Tap at Renegade - came into this expecting an overly sweet, abrasive booze bomb - about the only part I guessed right was the sweetness - high sweetness, sure, but at this strength, that is tomb expected - thankfully, the sweetness is mostly clean pale (and possible crystal) maltiness - alcohol is surprisingly well masked - texture is a little oily - hops are spicy, earthy and extremely floral, with a hint of fruitiness - alcohol kicks in a bit in the finish as it warms, getting a little fusel retro-nasal burn - I am not often a fan of these kinds of brews anymore, but this one is alright.
