Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly basil forward, but not so strong that it is offensive. Some medium light acidity and light funk. A bit of citrus and floral notes. Pours a hazy, golden orange with a medium sized, fairly thin and rocky, white head that recedes quickly to a thin film that lingers. Medium lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with some moderate acidity and a bit of lemon. Medium basil character that works well with the acidity. Light funk and oak notes. A bit of tropical fruit as well, especially pineapple. Soft mineral notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high, but soft carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I was fairly hesitant of this beer but I ended up really liking it. The basil adds a nice herbal note that works well with the acidity and the funk. It has a light sweetness too. I might go pick a few more of these up to see how they age.

Bottle at tasting. Golden pour. Strange aroma of basil and tart. Flavor is quite special, with herbal basil, horseblanket, tart and some sweet grain. Special stuff. My friends hated it, but I think it’s really nice.

Bottle @ Odense Summer Gathering, 2015. Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Nettle, funk and basil. Tart and dry. It works. The base beneath is solid. Tasty!

75cl bottle bought at Delhaize, shared @ Saturday night tasting - The Stein & Vine.

capped as well as corked 75 cl bottle at home. clear dark yellow, large white head. tart and sour lambic aroma, also sweeter notes from basil, and more bitter notes from hops. quite nice aroma. Flavor is dry and sour lambic, very dry, very nice, the herbs and hops are in the background and only add some character. A really, really nice sour, ever slightly more bitter than your usual lambic due to the herbs, but clearly a great gueuze, true to the normal flavor of that style. This would do very well in the hot danish summer sun, if we ever get one.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour with an amber tint. Spiced aroma with a solid impression of basil, yeasts, sour fruits, lemons, wet wooden notes. Impressive. Taste is lightly sour. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry, tart and spicy with basil. Lovely, spiced-up lambiek.
