A dark copper brown ale with a thin big bubbled brown head. In aroma, a nice oily nutty malt with coffee liqueur. In mouth, a smooth nutty malt with light herbal notes, coffee points, very good. On tap at Birreria, Dec. 27 2011.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours with a clear chestnut brown hue with low head retention. Aromas are woody, nutty, umami, earthy and spicy with light smoke. Quite a bit of richness to this beer. Flavors are earthy, nutty, spicy, meaty, chestnuts. Plenty of umami, and light smoke. Prickly carbonation with a dry finish. Tasty!
