Bottle. A dark brown to black beer with a small, dark beige head. The aroma is chocolatey and licoriceish, with resiny, citrusy hops. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Roasted malts, almost burnt, Chocolate, some licorice, hops, resins and bitterness. Some pine cones and grassy notes. Lasting finish. Quite nice, but too much on the roasted, burnt side. 150124

Slight gushing to towering, layered and stable dark tan-brown head over black-brown beer. Roasted, dark malts, melanoidins, sweet coffee with chocolate. Bitter/ burnt flavour, coffee, ashes (quite much), bitter chocolate. As much stout as black IPA. Medium bodied, quite slick, grist slickness. Long, bit metallic bitterness, continuously enforced by the stable head. Definitely a good one, even when the roasted features dominate the hop vectors.

330 ml bottle Pours darker shade of mahogany, nearing to black bit still some dark reddish-brown colours there. Aroma has dark rye, roasted and slihgtly burnt black bread and some robust hops. Taste reinforces the same characteristics, very bready, very roasted and truly full body with ripen dark fruits and coca-cola mixed with Turkish coffee. Hops are not that biting, so for me this one fells maybe even more like just a good stout. Aftertaste has this liquid hop bitterness as well, so this is still coming out and lingering bitterness is still there. Good winter beer, slightly sweeter black IPA .

Bouteille 33cl.

Keg. Sniffed out by CDA hound Theydon Bois. Clear but very dark red - amber beer. Small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, mild roast. Whisper of cream. The back end brings mellow piney hops, touch of hop spice. Smooth finish, Decent and drinkable.
