Nose: Roasted malt, smoke and oak with a hint of fruit.
Palate: A storm of flavour. Roasted malts and oak smoke combine with hints of orange zest. Underlying sweetness develops with time. Treat this one with respect.
Finish: Dark and satisfying. The robust malt and island character mellows to a lingering honeyed taste with a hint of fruit. The calm after the storm.
Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beers are best served chilled.

(Bottle, purchased at Systembolaget) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Burnt, smoky nose with tar, liquorice, chocolate, honey and wood. Malty, roasted taste with notes of tar, liquorice, chocolate, honey and lots of wood in the finish. Medium body, not overly sweet. Not really balanced, all the smoke and tar goes a bit over board and takes over everything else. Interesting and rather tasty.
