Bottle at The New Wheatsheaf, Borough. Given it a good 30 mins to open up. Mid brown lasting beige head. Spicy aroma. Some malt, some hop, soe yeast all on aroma. Bit of pukie malt in mouth but the spicy hop finish is decent enough. Good hop sting. Bit of syrup for a 5% beer. Thought it was stronger. Had to decant it to get rid of some of the bottled gas. Some fresh raisin. OK.

bottle - Pours amber with a thin, enduring head. it definitely smells like English malts and yeast. Medium bodied and mildly hoppy, this caramel malt and light fruit flavored beer is easy to drink.

275ml bottle served chilled at the excellent Calthorpe Arms, Holborn. Inviting amber body with good amount of white foam and brilliant clarity. Hoppy to the nose. Flavour of caramel malts offset by a fruity touch. Dry bitter end. Foamy mouthfeel (03.02.2007).
