A ruby red bitter, made with special coloured malts. A very rich malt character, which gives an impression of a stronger beer than its 4.2% ABV. Made with an American hop variety, the beer is an interesting departure from the norm, demonstrating a wide spectrum of unusual floral flavour notes which appeal to the ale drinker who is looking for something a little more cerebral than the usual session strength style beers. The hop is out there somewhere . . . Originally brewed as a one off, demand has led to permanent production.

Cask-conditioned at the JDW on Whitehall, 28/5/2013. Attractive, deep copper with a tight, off white head. Toffee, with some red fruits and then not much else until a metallic, bitter finish. Not for me.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Malty and slight fruity hops aroma. Flavour is smooth roasted malt towards breadish. Light fruity hops note swept through this into a nice lingering malty finish.
