A summer-wheatbeer with a fresh clean taste. Ginger and cloves used in the boil as spices. No banana-flavours because Bing the Brewer hates that :)

From tap. Pours hazy/cloudy yellow with a creamy white head. Mild yeasty and somewhat hoppy wheat aroma. Flavour is mild fruity and slight berry flavoured. Lingering fruity and mild wheaty with a vague wooden brett-like dryness. Ends medium sweet to bitter with a nice lingering fruity flavour.

Draught at Bishops Arms, Järntorget, Gothenburg. Served a slightly hazy yellowish golden body with a small, dense white head leaving nice lacings. Weak nose with banana, citrus, some cloves and hops. The flavor has banana even though the commercial description says it don’t, as well as citrus and a nice bitterness. Medium body, dry and medium carbonation. Banana, citrus, some wheat and a citrusy and piney hoppiness in the finish. A decent, easy to drink beer with a nice hop level. (080709)

(Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm, 9 July 2008) Hazy orange colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly citric nose with grass, spices and pears. Fruity taste with notes of wheat-flour dough, plums and hints of banana. Refreshing, summery hefeweizen. But somehow it feels like it doesn’t really come through all the way.

Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Cloudy mustard yellow, no head. Vaguely yeasty winegum/lemon aroma. Sweet and fruity with notes of pears and winegum, but no banana and cloves. Overcarbonated, probably as a result of serving in a tumbler. Marginal wheat malt character. Not a favourite. Light wheat ales with no banana esters jus doesn’t do it.

(Draught at Haket, Göteborg)On June 5, 2008Shady yellow color, fluffy lasting yellowish head. Malty, a bit acidic, buttery, spicy and butterscotch taste. Malty, spicy, butterscotch, slight acidic scent. I miss the banana esters in both scent and taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.
