Dark brown color. Aroma of ashes, burnt wood, mild. Lean but quite good mix of chocolate and roasted malt flavor, good bitterness, with a dry impression of liquorice at the end. Not bad.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a brown shine under a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of coffee - Java roast. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of coffee, lending it a bit of acidity from the coffee, leading to a dry roasted finish. Lack some body. Ground coffee has been addded to the 2nd fermentation.

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 Aug 2008) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee and cocoa. Roasted, malty taste with coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa and dark fruit. Mainly coffee in the finish. Body slightly below medium, mainly dry. Nice porter with a distinct coffee bite.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Nearly entirely black. Aroma of tobacco and roasty coffee. Fairly sweet with soft mouthfeel. Mild, yet flavourful. Coffee is evident, but on a highly balanced level, just accompanying the chocolate flavour from the roasty malt. Very quaffable despite the mouthfilling flavour. A brilliant cask porter!

From tap@Den tatoverede Enke. Aroma is roasted and light smooth chocolate, distinct notes of coffee. Flavour is roasted malt. Dry flavour and with a mild smoothness. Light hoppy and light fruity note, into a mild blackberries note. Bitterness from the java coffee. Lingering coffee finish. Solid and dry acid finish. Easy accessible coffee porter - well done!
