True Hefeweizen yeast and malted wheat give this ale its authentic German flavor and aroma. Hints of banana flavor and aroma are present in this medium to full bodied, pale colored cloudy, unfiltered ale.

Bottled. Cloudy straw colour, brief head. Tart yeasty banana aroma with a touch of cranberries. Dry, despite somemalt sweetness, light bodied wit rounded mouthfeel. Light lactic tartness together with pefumy cloves. Almost no bitterness. A good, highly refreshing weizen, no dobt. I’m just curious to know why this is showing up in Sweden when nearly none of the German originals are available.

Bottle:
Hazy, pale yellow with a foamy head. Big banana aroma when pouring, wheaty, yeasty citrus aroma in the glass. Dry yeasty flavour with a big citrus presence, there’s also some notes of bubblegum. A bit thin.

(355 ml bottle from Systembolaget)BB 2008-08-01On March 9, 2008Slight shady pale yellow color, big rocky fairly lasting head. MAlty, estery banana and metallic scent, rather mild and smooth. Sweet, slight bitter, also a bit acidic taste. There’s something off about the taste that I can’t quite put my finger on. Smooth mouthfeel with spritzy notes here and there. Low bitterness. It’s OK, but I’d rather buy some other from Systembolaget when having my next wheat beer.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is nice with lots of cloves and some banana in there. Flavor is also nice. very fruity and peppery with a nice amount of cloves and yeast. The is prob the best American version of a German Hefe that i have ever had.

Not bad. The best thing about this beer is the full aroma, with banana, orange, and bubblegum. The aroma reminded of a high quality German hefeweizen. Cloudy orange color, thin head, and I see very little sediment, in very fine pieces. Medium flavor, a little sweet, with more citrus and just a little sour at the end. Body is thinner than I would like it to be.

Poured from a brown 32-ounce plastic bottle. Moral of the story? The aroma is much better once it’s poured. Hazy light orange body, puffy, dense off-white head. Banana and clove aroma. More of the same from the flavor, which starts primarily with bananas and finishes with clove and earthy, slightly bitter hops. Quite average. I’m not sure I want all 32 ounces, though I don’t think a certain Saturday Night Live alum would agree. "But I must!"

Draft, at brewery taproom. Yes, a very German weizen type beer in its banana and spice aspect. The body is typically cloudy and sptritzy, so it's hitting all the right notes. Found it to be close to their Celis White in taste.
