Smak och doft av mycket choklad, toner av kaffe, fin beska, mjuk och nästan porteraktig.

(33 cl bottle from Systembolaget) Clear dark red-brown color, fairly large frizzy tan head. Very dominant metallic scent, a little bit of chocolate as well. Huge initial burnt taste, then a bit fruity, changing back to roasted malt aftertaste. MEdium mouthfeel and bitterness.

Draught. Dark brown opaque colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is skunked hops, malts and earthyness (unclean tap, or typical spendrup tap? since mellanöl had the same). Flavour is very much the same with some slight acidicness added. Slight roasted touch in finish.

On tap@Tegnérs Gömställe, Stockholm. Opaque black, not much head. Unclean aroma of bread and sugar (unclean tap too). Light, a bit sweet, coffeish and coca cola flavors. Very light overall, propably caramel kulor with water.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very black indeed with a brown, retentive head. Dry and malty, slightly burned with a marked if not exactly dominating bitterness. A very atypical style for Sweden. 221201

A deep red beer with a beutiful lasting brown head. The aroma is of straw, caramel, and roasted grain. The flavor is of roasted bread, caramel, and hops, that gives it a good dry hoppy end, though the body is thin.

Dark amber / brown color; creamy head. Malt and caramel aroma; a lot of caramel in the flavor, but maybe a bit thin at the end.

Chestnut colour; toffee aroma, nutty dryness, light body, and then it gets Spendrups on me...sugary, fake flavour, sticky finish, but with a touch of smoke.

Black coloured. A bit sweetish, medium bodied. Roasty and surprisingly flavourful for being a big brewer's beer.
