Kveldens nest siste på M2 Cardinal mai-15, fra fad: svart som natten, og med lavt beige skum. Med sine 13% merker jeg med behag alkostyrken i aromaen, den er godt blandet med rom, kokos, sjoklolade, vanilje og mørkrøstet malt. Vidunderlig munnfølelse, dette er flytende konfekt uten å bli for søt eller klebrig. Varmende chili i avslutningen setter prikken over i’en. Så godt at det er rett før tårene spretter.

Bottle, 14%. Black with tiny brow head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, little dark chocolate and vegetable. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, cocoa, notes of alcohol, little chili?, little vegetable, hop, little liquorice, little rum, little dark fruit and medium bitter.

From cask at Cardinal with HDI 20.05.15. Black. Dense brown head. Strong aroma of vanilla and bitter, dark chocolate. Fantastic, and similar, taste and aftertaste. Some bitterness and alcohol. A hint of chili.

On tap @ Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours black with small beige-brown head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, alcohol, rum; prominent chili - only slightly hot, but a lot of Chili aroma. Taste sweet, with a well balanced bitterness. Some alcohol warmth, silky mouth feel.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pitch black colour, low tan head. Aroma first of fusel alcohols, then molasses, rum oak cask, vanilla, coconut, chocolate and roast malts. Rich and warming mouthfeel. Outstanding flavour, medium sweet and roasty, no sign of fusel, otherwise all the delicious notes from the aroma are repeated and strengthened here. Nice chili heat in the finish. Perfect!

Bottle. Huge nose or coffee, chocolate, caramel, raisins, milk, booze. Also vanilla and chili, which comes out more as it warms. Motor oil with lace. FLavors of cocoa, apples, vanilla, cherry, peppery chilis in the finish. Excellent.

Bottled, thanks rlgk! Pitch black, beige head. Green pepper and coconut up front. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Green pepper, coconut and chilli, lots of chocolate sauce. Intense chili heat in the finish.

Keg at CBC Clerko, 15/04/15. Black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is rich roasted tone, chocolate, light spice, sweet notes, earthy, toffee fudge. Taste comprises dark chocolate, dark fruits, raisens, light spice, coffee, subtle chilli heat, moderate BA notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, lightly warming alcohol in the close with a trace of spice. Solid impy, good balance, all comes together well!

Tap (BGM 2). Beer is almost black with beige-brown head, nice lacing. Aroma is a poem: sweet, milk chocolate with rum, very intensive. In a word, great. Taste in the same direction: mega chocolate, sweet, small roasty note, delicate bitterness. Alcohol is completelly hidden. You only feel warm inside, very nice. For sure, full body, almost like sirup but good drinkable. It was really pleasure drink such good beer.
