0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before end of 2020, cellared for about nine months. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty aroma of chocolate, some caramel and a touch of dark fruits. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of chocolate, coffee, caramel and some raisins, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Too heavy on the chocolate, not overly pleasant and lacking all the characteristics of a Quad.

Bottle shared with Inoven and TomHendriksen. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized tan head. Aroma and flavor are malts, heavy chocolate, dark cocoa and a light sweetness with a pleasant firm bitterness. I like it. Not sure at all this is still a barleywine but quite pleasant. Interesting brew for sure!
