One of our very first beers with a recipe essentially unchanged ever since the first brew.
A classic, robust London style porter – with our own twist. Smooth and full-bodied, bursting with aromas of dark, bitter chocolate, and roasted coffee. Brewed with 100% British ingredients, East Kent Goldings Hops and an array of seven different malts.
While in stock and enjoyed throughout the year, it’s in the colder, wintery months when Railway Porter really hits the spot. Grab a pint, sit back, and enjoy.

Opaque black - brown beer, good bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth brown malt, slighty earthy and with oaty cereal. Whispers of dark chocolate and coffee. Comes together well in to a decent porter. Very light trace of smoke.

Bottle 330ml (AbM)
Dark brown color, steady creamy beige head. Very chocolate aroma with hints of coffee. Medium-bodied, nice for this ABV. Front is chocolate then tobacco ash. Finish has some spicey bitterness. Very good balance of everything and quite robust for being "only" 4.8 %. Excellent.

330ml bottle from Great Grog, shared with jeevan. Pours dark brown, thin tan head. Aromas of roasted malt and choclate, taste has more of the same with a nice milky sweetness. Nothing to get excited about, but solid.

Bottled. A black beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, tar, and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, wood, and soy sauce, leading to a roasted finish.

Bottle from Against The Grain. Black body with a tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, raisin and coffee beans. Flavour of chalk, charcoal ash, orange and plum. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A bitter, intense porter. Loved this. I had it in 2014 and rated it a 3.4. Eight years later and it’s a 4.4 (which is probably more to do with a change in my palette than an improvement in the beer). A truly excellent beer.
