Bottle pour @ De Garde. Pours light hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is insane. Sweet berries, perfume, oak, vanilla, funk, soil, citrus, lemon. Taste is alike with a lot of oak, vanilla, lemony tart notes. Damn this is interesting

Bottle at RBSG. Pours a bright yellow golden hue with a medium white head. A big sour funky lemon and wood nose, light wine. Vinous, sharp lemon lactic notes, some earthy dusty truffle. Pretty solid.

750ml bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is unfortunately not truffle but plenty sour funk and barrel. Taste is more of the nice funky sour wood some spice.

The beer is a muted pale yellow. Somewhat cloudy. Not much in the way of bubbles and they fizzle off quickly. The aroma is lemons, oak and an interesting earthy flavor. It’s truffle-ish, I guess. Mostly straight sour action bouncing around. Medium tart. Pretty big pucker. Not as much earthy complexity in the taste. Fizzy feel.

Batch 1 bottle shared by Bobby on 6/10/16. Thanks!!
Good clarity with just a bit of haze. Pretty straightforward blonde/golden with an initially large white head that steadily fades to cover.
HUGE white truffle in the nose lasts for days...no just kidding, you can’t really find the truffle in this thing, but it’s no worse for the wear, as the beer aspects are just spectacular. Oak, brett, mild lactic acids and well-extracted, well-attenuated pils malts all balance nicely, with tons of earthiness, light barnyard and more wood on the finish. No alcohol or flaws.
Again, wouldn’t ever guess truffle if I wasn’t told (and even then, it’s only lightly perceptible after extensive warming/breathing, manifesting as light salinity and umami). But otherwise it’s a very lambic-esque beer with bright brett and lacto notes mixing with oak and soft funk. Sourness is moderate and quite delicious, with a perfect texture/tight carbonation and no flaw.
Batch 2 bottle, drunk 12/1/17.
