Tap @ Mikkeller as "BARLEY WINE BRETT B.A. CALVADOS". Pours murky dark reddish brown with a medium offwhite head. Aromas of malts, barley, btiter barrel notes from the calvados, dark fruits, some hops, light brett. Taste is lots of calvados up front, barley, bitter fruity notes, dark fruits, malty sweet profile with just a hint of licorice and some coffee. Brett is maybe very very subtle. Can’t really get it. Probably wouldn’t get it if I didn’t knew it was in there. Pretty special barleywine!
