A blend of northwest hops known for their tropical fruit and citrus characteristics, complimented by the addition of grapefruit peel, give this northwest IPA a peachy apricot nose that transitions to the bitterness of grapefruit peel in the finish. Citrus Mistress sets the tone for citrus inspired beers everywhere.

I was expecting more of a Citra presence, but this came off as more of a pale ale. Light citrusy aroma and taste, but not enough bitterness to be in IPA territory. A good beer, but not a great IPA.

12 oz. bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Amber color, hazy. Off white head with little retention. Aromaβs: strong resin at first, mellowing a bit later, citrus (peel), light malty sweetness. Retronasal thereβs hop bitterness, citruspeel, grapefruit juice, less resin. Flavor is bitter with light sweetness and light citrussy sourness. Medium bodied. Finishes somewhat dry and long lasting bitter. Lovely and very refreshing.

35,5 cl bottle @ olio
Aroma has lots of hops, tropical fruits and pineapples. Also hints of grapefruit. Feels sweet. Flavour has lots of hops, grapefruit, some citrus, pineapples and distant gluey notes. Finishes somewhat dry with alcohol in the background that gets stronger towards the end of the glass. Perhaps it would be better hidden if drank even cooler.

Hazy orange colour. Aroma has some citrus, resin and caramelly malts. Flavour has some sharper, citrusy notes but overall feels too thick, resinous, caramelly.

355ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Intense citrusy and piney, hoppy aroma, lots of grapefruit, a touch of peach and mango, pine, pineapple, a sweaty touch of resin. Taste is moderately bitter, citrusy hoppy, intense mango and grapefruit notes, some orange zest, moderately sweet caramel malty basis; bitter and mineral hoppy finish. Very nice composition, paradigmatical West Coast IPA.

Clear amber with nice off-white head that leaves good bubbles and has nice lacing. Big aroma hops at first (lemon, grapefruit, soapy, resin, tropical fruits). Light sweet malts with a touch roasted nuts. Medium bodied. Good IPA
