De meeste IPA's kenmerken zich door een citrusachtig hopkarakter, afkomstig van Amerikaanse hopsoorten. Omdat wij onze grondstoffen bij voorkeur ‘uit de buurt’ halen, zijn we op zoek gegaan naar Europese hoppen met eenzelfde frisfruitige bitterheid. De Gooische IPA is gemaakt 4 Duitse hopsoorten. Recept ontwikkeld samen met Derek Walsh.

Bottle. Color: Hazy amber, white head. Aroma: Floral and grassy hop. Taste: Caramel malt base, floral and grassy hop. Moderate sweet, over moderate going to medium bitterness at the sry-ish finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice IPA.

On tap @ Mout, Hilversum. Clear dark yellow with a white head. Citrus aroma. Bitter taste with a bitter citrus finish. Proper old fashioned bitter IPA.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel goudgeel bier met een volle schuimkraag. Het heeft een moutige wat hoppige geur. De smaak is hoppig, fruitig met tonen van sinaasappel.

Bottle at THT online. Almost clear golden with big fluffy almost white head. Soft grapefruit, pils malts, light grassy, soft flowery. Medium sweet and bitter. Almost medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and slight dry finish. OK.

Bottle at home. From AH in Huizen. Pale amber, near clear, white head. Sweet malts, grainy, fresh breadcrust, floral hoppy, peppery yeasty, some caramel and orangepeel, sugar sweetened tea.
