Bottle, 9C. Amber with a large off white head. Aroma of pears, caramel, spices. Light bodied with high carbonation. Drier than suggested by the aroma, but still fruity - grapes as well as pears and apples, apricot kernels. Quite bitter and peppery with a little tartness. Charming.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at Mallaskukko, 20121020) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spices and malts. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, fruitiness, malts, yeast, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. The taste and the aroma were appropriate for a saison but the finish was a bit too harsh.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, ABV 5%. Clear amber colour, fluffy off-white head. Aroma of bitter walnuts, old hops, light fruity. Flavour is light malty, nutty, light floral, bit of caramel, firm dry hoppy bitterness, bitter finish. Light bodied, quite dry, straightforward. I actually quite liked this, it reminds me of Orval without the Brettanomyces.

330ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average frothy white head. Moderately spicy aroma, minimal apple fruit touch, dry notes like unripe fruit parings. Taste is dry with a tendency towards soapy, a minimal red apple note. Dry to bitter finish.

29/V/2012 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ blind tasting Gentse Biervereniging for Bier van de Maand - BB: n/a (2012-555)
Clear orange to amber beer, small off-white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty spicy, hay, grassy, bit of citrus fruits, peaches. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: bit spicy, some caramel, grassy hops, little sweet. Aftertaste: spicy bitterness, pretty dry ending with fruity notes to it. An undervalued beer if I see the overall score.

A cloudy, orange beer with a big and beige head. Aroma is fruitfull, yeast, some overcooked fruits and hint of earthy herbs. Taste is surprisingly tropical fruity, peaches, still quite dry, delicious, herbs and bitterness. Medium bodied, refreshnig carbonation, nice to drink. Fruitfull, not very saison like beer, but who cares, very delicious beer.
