Vraie bière de terroir, la Saison Voisin a une touche houblonnée (40 EBU) et une jolie robe ambrée. Faible en alcool et très désaltérante, elle convient parfaitement pour se rafraîchir par temps chaud.

Decent beer, but a bit flat for a saison. It was a bit dry and bitter, but not nearly enough.

Bottle in the flat in Sofia, Bulgaria. Many thanks to Liubo for the bottle! Pours clear gold, mildly effervescent with a large, frothy white cap. The nose has some melon, yeast, dough, hints of horse blanket. Medium sweet flavor with dry dough, melon, bubblegum, papaya, mild hay. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with further tropical fruit characteristics, white bread, dry dough, some grainy bread, hay. Quite nice overall, really. Well balanced, pretty clean, interesting..

Bottle share at the Watford tasting, thanks to Matteo. Hazed yellow orange coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is orange peel, rubber and peppercorn. Very high tingleing carbonation. Carbonaic acid bite. Flavour is grainy with some corn. some saison yeat character.

Bottle shared by Matteo at the Watford tasting. It pours golden amber with a white head. The nose is toasty. grain, cereal, light spice, hay and orange sponge cake. The taste is toasty, cereal, orange peel, spice, mild tartness and popcorn. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Fine.

Some bitter honey and booze mark the overall aroma here. Pours cloudy brownish orange with good head and lacing. Finishes sweet and a little bitter on the long term aftertaste. Ingredients don’t mesh super well here. Bottle.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly cloudy reddish copper color with a 1-2 finger dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of caramel, grape, pear, cardboard, hay, grass, pepper, clove, bread, and stale earthiness. Awful aromas with a large amount of oxidation and age noticeable. Taste of apple, pear, caramel, grape, cardboard, floral, grass, hay, light pepper, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness and moderate phenols. Lingering notes of light fruits, caramel, bread, cardboard, floral, hay, and earthy/phenolic yeast flavors on the finish. Moderately unpleasant balance of flavors with moderate phenols present; with lingering oxidation/weird off flavors on the finish for a while. Medium carbonation and body; with a slick and moderately syrupy mouthfeel that is quite unpleasant. Alcohol presence is minimal, but the phenolic flavors really make this hard to drink. Overall this was a horrible saison. I have no idea if age was a culprit here, but this totally went bad. Drained.

5% bottle from CBB. A classic Belgian yeast spicy Saison aroma which evokes a farmers field... A lovely deep gold with a thick foamy head. The taste is full bodied, fruity & spicy with a dry bitter finish. Really refreshing, I’d love to try this on a summer day.

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Firstly what a great label & a huge improvement on the one in the photo up there. This is a fresh, fragrant Saison bursting with a delicious Belgian yeast that could be mistaken for a Tripel. Very full flavoured for 5%. This will definitely be making a return to my fridge.
