Sample from 2017 bottle #462/1150 during Blarney Wine Festival 2018 on 03/17/2018. The beer is a slightly cloudy chestnut color with a medium thin light beige head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of roast malt, fruit, vanilla and caramel. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, fruit, whiskey and a touch of hops. The finish is boozy with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle: Poured a clear orange with bubbles. Aroma is fruity, vanilla, boozy, toffee. Taste is sweet sticky toffee, fruit and vanilla. Boozy.

From bottle #717/1000 purchased at the brewery. Pours a cloudy mahogany with a skimpy head. Caramel aroma. Flavors of toffee and stone fruits, citrus and oak. Complex and tasty.
