Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a fairly dark red to brown sort of color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Moderate lace.
The aroma had some sweet nuts and raisins. Some milk chocolate, subtle sweet banana. Touch of grain.
The flavor combines those previously mentioned aromas together with a nice crisp sweet nutty to banana aftertaste and dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, nice American dark wheat ale, but lack of clove spices and any sort of wheatiness tells me it’s not a true dunkelweizen. Maybe again for me.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a beige head. Dark wheat aroma. Med body. Flavor is wheaty/toffee. Hop seems noble, tho there’s not much bitter here. It’s almost dry. Nice dunkel.

Growler: Poured a reddish brown with off white head. Aroma was malty. Taste was sweet malts and nice dry finish. So good that I finish the 64oz all by myself.
