Botella de 50 cl tomada en el lúpulo en marzo de 2013. Porter con algo de sabor, aunque en conjunto es bastante ligera y suave. 5.1 Vol que no le dan mucho cuerpo y carácter. Se queda muy suave pero con ligeros toques tostados al final que hacen que mas o menos merezca la pena. Cuerpo suave y algo cremoso. Bastante suave siguiendo la linea de la casa. Tirando a buena.

Bottle from the St Peter’s Brewery. Poured dark ruby with a dense beige head. Somewhat odd aroma of cream soda, ash and Oxo. Mouth feel was medium to full. Initial flavours of coffee, smoke and vanilla. Burnt toast on the palate with some balanced cocoa and brown sugar.

0,5 l bottle. Nearly black in the glass. Plum and cherry on the nose. Starts with dark cherry and malt. Hints of liqueur. Low coffee. Later a little bit dry.

licht rood/bruin met creme kaki kraag. Het aroma is enorm moutig van zowel caramouten en ambermouten, tevens komt de gest/tarwe stevig terug, verder in de ondertonen zijn nog wat koffie en chocolade te herkennen, De smaken zijn matig zoet, redelijk bitter van de koffie en wat gebrande/geroosterde mout, licht fruitig, droog in de mond, donkere chocolade. medium body, glad, iig een fijne droge porter met goede smaken, iig beter dan hun honey porter shit ! --- Beer merged from original tick of Old Style Porter on 15 May 2018 at 15:22 - Score: 7

Sehr schooner dunkler Kastanienton, cremig-beiger Schaum. Der Geruch ist toll röstmalzig und schokoladig. Im Antrunk ist das Bier schön frisch-süffig, aber etwas flach. Zum Hauptteil verfliegt dieser flache Antrunk und es wird ganz leicht säuerlich. Hinzu kommen, aber erst im Nachgeschmack, schöne Espresso-schokoladentöne – schönes Röstmalz. Diese Röstmalznote hält sich mit einer ganz leichten Herbe lange auf der Zunge, allerdings sind außer der leichten Säuerlichkeit und dem toll röstmalzigen Nachgeschmack keine weiteren Aromen feststellbar.
--> Nettes Bier, aber von St. Peter’s gibt’s viel bessere.

Appearance: Very dark brown, nice off-tan head. Aroma: Dark malt, roasted, coffee. Taste: Nice dark malt, roasted. Slight coffee and dryness, but still smooth. Info: 500ml bottle, 10/8-2013, BB: 20/8-2013

500ml bottle. Amber-brown body. Steady beige head. Sort of an odd creature, the raisiny old ale part of the equation sort of shines. Aside from that sort of a classic chocolate amber malt body. An amber malt sour cherry taste that isn’t so enjoyable. Not really how I remembered it from years ago. Chalky finish.

Pours a clear dark reddish brown with a frothy cream colored head that slowly dissipates to lots of sticky lace. The aroma is a bit vinous with some dark fruity aromas. Burnt sugars, light chocolate and coffee playing supporting roles. The flavor is a touch lactic with vinous and dark pitted fruits melding into toffee, caramel, and a hint of smoke. Medium to thin body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet burnt mouthfeel. Interesting beer. This is not really what I think of when I think porter, but it was good enough to keep me interested through the glass.
