Slightly hazy golden to light amber with small off-white head. Big piny and light fruity hops, smoke, ash, dark bread, toast, unripe fruit, lemon. Taste is bitter, with sweet grain. Full bodied, slick soapy feel, very light carbonation.

33cl bottle. Bb 12/14. Murky light brown, thin head, low carbonation. Smoke, caramel and some berries in aroma, weird somehow but quite ok. Flavor has smoked ham, citrusy hops, malt and hint of rye. Very dry finish. Could do without the berries, but decent overall.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured a dark golden colour with a thin white head. Smoked malt aroma with notes of juicy fruits and burnt sugar. Full, syrupy mouth feel. Bursting with flavours of grapefruit, orange peal, caramel and a slight iodine edge. Finish was peat, chewy malt, dried fruit and bitter resin. Absolutely delicious!

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish amber with a grayish white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma had a good amount of smokiness with a bit of rye and just a hint of grassy hops. Flavor starts with rye and grassy hops that grow to have a bit of pine and a finish with some smoke.

On tap at Haand Festival. An unclear, orange colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is lighlty smoked, with citrus, pine cones and a touch of canned peaches. There’s a decent bitterness in the mouth, with malty sweetness and a faint smoke note. It’s full-bodied and sweet on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Fruity and bitter finish. The rye didn’t step forward, but the level of smoke is pretty much perfect, even though I’m not overly fond of smoked malt in my IPA’s. Pretty successful in this one though. 130525
