BOTTLE 33 CL from dcmchew. Thank you!

Look: clear copper body, big tan frothy to creamy head with good retention.
Aroma: rich savory aroma. Hops - sweet tropical fruit, some tannic notes, very little resins, some fresh minty notes too. Caramel / fruit marmalade, faint spicy smoky notes.
Taste: rich fruity maltiness balanced by hops, a subdued spicy smoky notes that adds some savor and dryness to the body. Clean dry bitterness in the finish.

Very interesting and weel made well balanced beer. In my version, the smoky notes were quite faint but certainly there. As for rye "spice" - not sure I could detect it.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 06/15, at Black Door, 20140906) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had smoke, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, malts, sweet rye bread, fruitiness and and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky, hoppy and bitter. A rather nice smoky brew but hops were rather well hidden.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Cara-malty nose with a whiff of dough and smoke, accompanied by delicately fruity and piney hops. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly cara-malty start with hints of rye, combined with slightly grapefruity and delicately piney hoppy touch, lingering into the dry and slightly smoke-malty finish. Interesting brew. 01.IV.14

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus hops and malt, with a dusty yeast note. Sweet malty flavour with citrus, smoke and yeast and a rather bitter finish

Bottle from Reading BF 2014 drunk on the train home. Hazy amber lasting cream head. Some smoke on the aroma some hop too. Smoked sausage aroma. Quite quiet in the flavour in the mouth. A decent balanced smoked ipa. About the first one I have had. Plus good condition. Impressive. Still not sure why you would smoke an ipa but as such it’s about the best I’ve had.

33cl bottle pours with a slightly hazy looking deep copper body that has gold edges and supports a tall tan head of fairly tight foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened citrus and then flowery floral hop notes and then quickly smooth subtle smokiness. The taste is alright. I like it. It starts with a nice citrus hop flavor kick that has a pleasing level of hop bitterness trailing close behind. Still at the beginning the moderate chewable smokiness blends evenly with the citrus and sweet malt notes creating a fairly unique but quite tasty mix of flavors that I haven’t encounter much if at all. Nice. There’s a layer of bitter resiny pine hops here that add a nice balance and creating a bit of a snappier experience just as a bit of floral hops are noticed into the finish. Yes, I like this. Solid!

Keg @ Tapped, Leeds. Woody, rye malts with a subtle creeping smoked character. Nice.
