Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks Tom L. Murky orange. Aroma of malt, nice smokiness, fruity hops and a bit of caramel. Flavor has some sweetish malt, a bit of rye spiciness, mild fruitiness and some hops with nice bitterness. Medium-bodied. Good and interesting.

Tap at Borefts ’13, 28/09/13. Very lightly hazed pale golden. Nose is light smoke, hops, bitter orange, grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, rye, light smoke, charred straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with subtle hop bitterness and light smoke. Decent.

From a 0.33l bottle @ Borefts 2013. This is a blurry golden looking one with a nice medium sized just off-white big bubbly head. The nose has elements of sweet beef, but it's quite neutral and soft really. Soft is not the carbonation level but it is about average and small prickling in the mouth. Not all that much going on in the taste either to be honest. A really mild smokiness with lots of hay flavors. Some corn as well here. Sweet corn. Rye? Can't really notice it and I I haven't known that name of the beer I never would have guessed it. A bit disappointing . 28.09.2013

Bottle at the brewpub in Kamperland, 30/09/13 and tasting in CBC clerkenwell with the guys. Aroma is medicinal smoke phenols and citrus. Haxed orange colour with a reluctant white head. Flavour is dry rye bread malt profile, medicinal smoke, resin, Assertice clean bitterness. Nice palate. A bit too unusual.

Very hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Creamy malt with touches of grain and rye spice. Light orange citrus hop. Dry finish. Mildly bitter linger with some smoke. A nice beer but could have used some more hops.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Thanks to Fergus for this one. Pours lightly hazy gold with a frothy white head. Nose of orange and dry smoke. Light to medium sweet flavor with mellow smokiness, some bitter orange rind. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Mild grassy bitterness to finish, soft smoked malts, more rindy citrus. Decent.

modeste 2013 pours fuzzy blonde, no foam . smell is hops ( in very small amounts ) low carbo, smoked back . bit bitter. very drinkable
