Clear dark amber with a small beige head, some lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, smoky and dark fruit. Taste is not as smoky, toasted malts, sweet caramel and smoke

On tap at Uber Tavern, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out smoke notes upfront, followed by toasted chestnuts and a touch of dark fruit. Flavour is extremely well-balanced, with moderate smoke notes, followed by caramel, and toasted nuts. Very nice stuff - equal stuff between doppelbock and smoked beer.

A really nice smokey and well balance smokey ale. What can I say, hits all the buttons.

Bottle: Poured a deep chocolate brown color with a two finger lacing tan head. Aroma is smokey. Taste is weird mix of smoke and medicinal malts. Maybe an off bottle?
