[10/11/13] Draught at Arend’s Nest in Amsterdam. Hazy amber. Aroma of malt, caramel and piney and resinous hops, maybe slightly stale. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of caramel, a bit of fruits, some piney hops and moderate bitterness. Medium-bodied.

On tap at Cafe Arendsnest. Pours a clear orange with an amber hue and a near white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a good amount of pine with backing sweet breads and a touch of dough. Flavor has a doughy resin note with a touch of pine and a hint of resin.

Decent IPA with a kind of metallic and sharp bitterness to it, which makes it a little unpleasant to drink.

(Draught at CafΓ© Derat, Utrecht, 25 July 2013) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, grainy malt and a touch of brewing house coming through. Malty, hoppy taste with grapefruit, resin, crystal malt and a dry finish with a generous citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well balanced IPA. Nice one.

Draught @ Arendsnest. This one seemed kind of tired (not that fresh) and floury, Low sweetness. Medium bitterness.

On tap @ Arendsnest. Hazy amber color. Dense head, white to off white. Aroma’s: Flowery (UK?) hops, some caramel malts. Flavor is moderately bitter with light malty sweetness. Medium bodied. Prickly carbonation. Finishes rather dry and bitter, not too harsh. Not too extreme, but balanced and tasty.

Keg in Holland. Quite a dry, bitter IPA, a little over carbonated, this OK, but was not begging for more.
