On the bottle at the bottom: \"MFG 11042013.\" Really, Kassik’s, why did this just show up in Juneau over this weekend? You’re as bad as Midnight Sun. Okay, fine. This review will serve you right.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a clear bronzed yellow color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that once it dissipated there was a decent speckled lacing that sticks fairly good against the glass.
The aroma, well, it doesn’t smell like a normal AIPA, but here’s what I get: a honey coated bready apple-like substance. Weird, but okay, that’s what I get. Bitter piney maybe citrus and somewhat spicy hops - no where to be found like even some sort of AIPA.
The taste is super sweet through the honey breadiness, once again, no hops are found. The aftertaste has a super sweet lingering breadiness that leads into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sits fairly light and shows actually a fairly decent sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is so under in this one.
Overall, I’m not sure why this is labeled an IPA on here. This is nowhere close to an IPA. Hmmm...I’m just wondering if Kassik should be getting their beers out quicker as I’m finding it hard to believe this IPA was manufactured in November of 2013 and only got to Juneau this past weekend. Well, if anything they have on Midnight Sun at least they know how to put bottling dates on their brews.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden light haze with white head. Light hops aroma in the nose. Nice soft citrus and hops flavor.
