Woodshed 2.0. Big thanks to sebletitje for giving me this bottle. The 8.5oz bottle pours with a deep dark inky body supporting a thin mocha colored head of foam and leaving behind thick legs that stain the glass. The aroma offers up chocolate brownie, toffee, fudge, dark chocolate and black strap molasses. Yep, smells like a yummy chocolate shop. The taste is smooth rich nectar like goodness such as fudge, chocolate, toffee and sweet kettle caramelization. To midway it picks up smooth candy like cognac as well as moving into more and more booziness. Holy cow this is smooth and rich and nectar like. Oh yeah!!!

250mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out loads of cognac liqueur upfront, with secondary notes of caramel and chocolate. The roast seems lost on the nose on this one. Flavour is quite heavy and sweet, almost cloying, with strong notes of cognac and syrupy caramel, which pretty much wholly characterize the flavour profile. The roast is likewise gone in the flavour in this rendition. Very sticky and viscous. Great stuff, though a tad on the sweet side for me, and thus my least favourite of the George series.

Draft. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, soy sauce, and chocolate, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

Bottle - thanks Ben! Pours very inky black with a secondary small black creamy head that dissipates with some lacing. Aroma is brandy, dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is the same with a touch of liquorice. Barrel notes present but not overpowering. Medium sweet, lightly bitter. Full silky body. Very satisfying. The worst thing about it was that my wive loved it and drank half my pour!

Bottled:
Pitch black with a small, brown head. Huge aroma of toffee, licorice, roasted malt and smoke. Really thick mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sweet and has notes of roasted malt, toffee, licorice, oak and warming alcohol. The bottle was small but the beer was BIG!

[5/3/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Black with a beautiful espresso-crema-like brown head. Roasty and alcoholic aroma with coffee and cognac. Sweet flavor with lots of dark chocolate, some cognac and a burnt finish with some alcohol. Really thick full body. Awesome.

Tap @ CBC2013. Dark color, short head. Roasted malts, coffee, chocolat, some strange vegetable or meat broth which probably is the cognac, ashes. Hmm, strange combination, that doesnt seem to fit each other. Bitter taste.
