Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into an English pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy amber color with a slight bubbly head.
The aroma had some cracker to bready malt up front and a light citrusy to bitter piney hoppiness ever so subtle in the background.
The flavor yielded to the malts decently. Birch taste comes out here. Quick crackery malt aftertaste. Cracker and birch in the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a subdued carbonation about it. ABV felt right.
Overall, as a Bitter it works, but the birch is really only tasted. Never smelled it, no matter how many times I had it. Perhaps again, as it’s decent for the style.
