Enjoyed on tap at Centraal in Milwaukee, WI. Appearance dark brown, thick with light tan head. Aroma of Belgian candi, very sugary, clove notes. Taste is sweet, caramel and clove, strong, just decent.

Been drinking this beer for years. It was one of the gateway or early beers, along with the other Corsendonk brews. I think my favorite part of the Christmas Ale is that a lot of the bigger beer stores put this beer on sale after the pagan holidays. So, with that in mind I picked up a 6 pack of 250mL bottles and a glass. Come home, pop in the freezer for 20 minutes, and pour in the globe goblet glass. I love the glass because its demarcated with both a 25cL fill line and a 33cL line. With that mind I wasn’t able to pour the last 5th of the bottle because of the humongous head, which eventually sort of faded. The lacing almost completely covers the side of the glass. Aroma is lightly fruity but not esters, maybe light prune off the malts, grapey is the best descriptor. Plum crust. Body is light, carbonation is soft, makes the beer very quaffable. Flavor has a light raisin bread feel. Finishes light and soft. Yup, I still like this beer.

Bottle. Piurs cloudy coffee brown with stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel, fruit and yeast, with notes of cinnamon and hops. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt and fruit, with estery hints and bitter notes of hops. Touches of spice. Warming alcohol presence. Bitter aftertastebwith sweetish notes. Decent, indeed.

BOTTLE 25 CL at 8,5% ABV. Some fresh fruity notes (not much of that dry fruit sweetness). Though it is pretty dark and big, you won’t find much malty or caramel notes. Instead, you get lots of spicy herbal hops with nice zesty notes. Very good.

Flaska från SB. Brunsvart vätska. Dofter av russin och färska druvor. Stor smak där russinen återkommer. Lite kaffe/choklad. God.

Nice stuff. Comes together great for style. Pours cloudy dark brown with good head and lacing. Some spice, strong florals and perhaps some clove. It’s been too long since I had a Corsendonk beer. Good stuff. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown.

Mørk orangebrun klar med beige lavt skum. Karamell, krydder og hint av røde bær. Smaker søtlig karamell, krydder mot pepper og noe bitter smak. Sødmen ligger langt bak. Kort, litt tørr
