Bottle sampled @ Ekstedts tasting on December 2. Courtesy of Ekstedt. Pours clear golden with a big white head. Smell is lemon zest, nutmeg, white pepper, allspice and some subtle hints of butter. Taste is vinous and slightly acidic with lemon juice, lemon zest and white pepper. Finish is slightly sweet, slightly sour and spicy.

Bottle at ekstedt tasting on December 2, 201175 clClear yellow color, white head. Acidic, spicy, red currants scent. Acidic, berry, spicy taste. Acidic and spicy aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, very low bitterness.

Bottle at Nate Dawg’s Birthday Bash. It pours deep amber, with a thick off-white head. The nose is sour green apple, spice, yeast, dark fruit and berry. The taste is tangy green apple, caramel, touch of smoke, spice, dark fruit and berry, with a juicy, tangy finish. Medium body, average carbonation, foamy mouth-feel and good balance. Very tasty stuff.

Nate2Gs Birthday Bash at Kernel. Cloudy brown beer, little off white head. Light dry palate with fine carbonation. Mildlt tart generic fruits. A little dry. Pleasant and drinkable.

Bottle at Nate’s Massive Kernel Birthday Piss-Up. Pours lightly cloudy copper with a foamy, white head. Fruity nose, bits of apple. Medium sweet flavor, some tangy fruit, apples and berries mostly. Medium to full in body with fine to average carbonation. Tangy finish, some sugars, fruits and berries. Very good.

Bottle at Kernel Brewery. Brown hazy lasting beige head. Spicy slight malt aroma. Its good i like it sourness with a sweet malt booziness. Happy to sit down with that. One of the best beers if the day. More like a flemish red sour. Bit more malt and sweetness. Really good.

Hazy white/yellowish color, like a white beer. Smells like weed and tastes spicy or herbs and again a little like a whitebeer. Doesn’t at all appear to be a winter beer to me. It’s not bad but it just doesn’t fit.

Wenig säuerlicher, sehr hefiger Antrunk. Im Mittelteil unglaublich kräuteartig, weiterhin trocken säuerlich, nach Koriander, Harz, wenig Nelke. Dabei nimmt die Säuerlichkeit noch zu, bleibt aber eng verbunden mit den Kräuternoten, die so ebenfalls stärker erscheinen. Nach und nach würziger, soll heißen auch etwas malzig. Der Alkoholgehalt zeigt sich kaum. Zum Ende ist die Säure fast etwas penetrant, dennoch ist das Bier insgesamt gut gelungen und herrlich aromatisch. 10/9/9/9/10/9

Funky lemon and green apple aroma, not strong. MIlky yellow, thick white head. Green apple and apple core flavor, with the dreaded bandaids in the finish.
