Who is afraid of darkness? Dark beer made with several roasted barley from England and Germany, cocoa nibs, lactose and just a bit of hops. A Milk Chocolate Stout as soft as velvet, that recalls powdered cocoa and barley coffee. Don’t be scared by its colour.

Purchased this bottle at 7-11 Kittery, ME. ( the best beer manager the entire chain of 7-11’s in the history of the store) nice looking black color with thin lasting tan head. Aroma is coca powder, milk chocolate and black cherries.

I’m drinking a under 6% stout and the body lets me know, thin. Flavor has light chocolate, light dark fruit and mild lactose sugar. Texture is creamy with a smooth finish. Sweet indeed.

Bottle from Cocktails, Littleborough. Black without a head. Has only a light but drinkable roasted malt aroma and taste, with a small milkiness, but it impacts more on texture than taste.

Medium brown color. Lots of lactos and chocolate in nose. The mouth is too light, sweet malty, slightly unbalanced, not that interesting. Meh.

Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. Black very dark brown beer with a thin lasting tan head. Chocolate and touch of liquorice aroma. Touch of creaminess maybe in the flavour. Fairly dry on the finish. Some milk chocolate on the finish. Not really my thing, but fine and some dryness on the finish.
