A classic India Pale Ale with American and New Zealand hops, named after the italian frustrating burocracy. Nose is elegant: it recalls citrus fruits and mature fruits with and starts with light sweet caramel, followed by a long, elegant, fine bitterness. Dedicated to the love for hops and to people of few words.

Gylden mørk brun tåkete med beige skum. Søte lukter som sitrus og karamell og malt i tillegg til humle. Søtlig også i smaken før krydder og den humlebittre smaken overtar. Medium fylde og kullsyre

Bottle. Grassy, mineral, vegetable nose. Light caramel. Muscat grapes with skin on. Musty. Cloudy amber-orange, fine head. High carbonation. Somewhat light. Peaches, caramel, grasses and veggies. Not all that together. Old?

pours an extremely large offwhite head, with a little cloudy orange beer underneath. Strong floral hoppy aroma with some depth, quite bitter, also some sweet malty notes - aroma hints they didn’t get skimpy on the ingredients. Flavor is quite malty, quite bitter hoppy - grapefruit peel, pine, 52 ibu on the bottle, tastes like more than that. Certanly pretty bitter this one.

Old rating, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Lett fruktig lukt med preg av malt, humle, gras, tørka frukt, høy, karamell, lauv. Lett fruktig smak med preg av malt, humle, våte blad, karamell, gras, tørka frukt. Middels bitterhet som set litt. Kjedelig.

Bottle. A small, dense, light beige head forms over a lightly unclear, dark golden body. The aroma is on the malty side, with caramel tending towards butterscotch. Decent fruityness too. Quite bitter flavor, but I think it’s a bit too much on the malty side. Medium to full body and a pleasant carbonation level, finishing mostly bitter. A quite decent beer, although not my kind of IPA. Rating: 6-4-6-3-13-3.2. 130111

Bottle. It’s an unclear, reddish dark orange beer with a two finger off-white head that lasts. The aroma is quite citrusy, with zest and green pine cones. Some malty notes and a touch of something reminiscent of brett. There’s some sweetness in the flavor, but it’s quite well attenuated. Bitterness and hoppy flavors dominates. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting bitter hop finish. I get the impression I should have had a fresher bottle to rate, but it’s a fine beer anyway. 130913

Copper colour. Aroma is quite caramelly with a bit of orangey citrus. Body is oily, carbonation is low. Sweet, fruity hop flavour with only a light bitterness in the finish. Not bad but on balance it’s too sweet.

6% about 40 NOK, my first beer from this brewery, things look promising. A slightly opaque reddish amber color with a light beige head is the look I want in an IPA. The aroma is mild, caramel & a herbalness, possibly fennel? Not too bitter or sweet, well balanced. A bready nutty quality gives a full body, caramel & the sweet malt character starts you off then the hop bitterness comes in with a floral/herbal bitter taste that lingers in a good way. This beer seems to be telling a story & I like what it is telling me!
